Tonight, I discovered the coolest artist ever. Paolo Cirio. His work creates an ephemeral feedback loop we all deal with between the on again, off again life the internet has introduced.
He creates real-life replicas of people captured by Google’s Street View cars. Then, he actually pastes them into the locations they were photographed.
The Italian artist blows up the photos then prints off the Google images before actually visiting the exact spot they were captured by the Street View car.
Using wheat paste, he glues their life-sized likenesses to where they appear on Google Maps.
As of now, the “ghosts” have been found only in New York, Berlin and London.
Thank you for checking out www.nomadyouth.com 🙂 Here is a marley facebook cover (I am obsessed with Bob!) that you can all save and use if you would like! One of my last “freebies” – I will be launching Nomad Youth Designs to help others create thier own Etsy branding/facebook branding for way cheaper than most. Can’t wait to post the creations soon.
Until next time,
