ABOUT

Welcome! Read on to find out what my blog is all about ♥

xxxx

Among many other things, I am a world traveler, amateur photographer, vintage fashion enthusiast, vegetarian, college grad and currently a flight attendant. I also sell vintage band tees over at the Nomad Youth shop! This blog is a place for me to share what I find to be beautiful or inspiring and it is also a place for me to share some traveling stories.

One of those crazy traveling stories and the whole reason I got addicted to travel involves living in this tree house in Barcelona, Spain for a few months in 2011 until the Policia came and took everything peope staying there owned when they came. So, I was left with the clothes on my back in a foreign country with…

No I.D.

No Spanish.

No phone.

No passport.

No return plane ticket

& NO money.

What I did quickly develop was something that no one can ever take away from me! A mind that craves adventure and the uncertainty that traveling brings. Especially traveling in ways that are out of the ordinary as I did in Spain. Every morning, I never knew where I would sleep that night, yet never once was I in need.

After 4 months in Spain, I used some refund money that I had just gotten and ended up in Paris for another 4 months, but that is a whole different story for another post…

Eat, Pray, Love has NOTHING on my travel stories, if I do say so myself.

Going from living a very comfortable life in San Francisco to living with literally nothing yet being a million times happier obviously had a huge impact on the way I see the world and got me to start researching the following question:

Is there some big secret to happiness that lies in the opposite life that most of us are trying to achieve? I am still on the quest to answer this question as I continue to travel the world and learn about other cultures ways of living.

Let’s become friends if we are not already! I love people and feel happiest when I am in contact with those from other countries than my own… brings back that happy traveling feeling.

    • Hello there Neon Fish! Thank you so much for your kind words! It will take even more courage to publicly declare the rest of my travel stories (this will seem like NOTHING! haha) but I have made the choice to do it in the hope that it will touch and inspire SOMEONE, anyone, and get people thinking about topics they may have never heard of before. It is worth sharing personal stuff if that goal is accomplished. Anyways, Happy Monday! Hope to see you in blog land again soon. 😉
